HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING
* Location...Brunswick county beaches.
* Rip Current Risk...High.
* Surf Height...Around 4 feet.
* Timing and Tides...Strong rip currents can occur at any time, but
will be especially strong and prominent at low tide which will
occur around 12:30 pm Wednesday.
Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of beach patrol and signs. BE SAFE!
