Noise Ordinance
Renting the Community Center
NO CABANAS, TENTS, OR AWNINGS are allowed on the beach at any time.
All event items (chairs, decorations, arches) must be REMOVED FROM BEACH STRAND immediately after event or by 7pm, whichever occurs first. Please do not set up for an event prior to 7:30am on day of event.
Please remember that all event items shall be placed at least ten feet from sea turtle nest or dune vegetation and cannot be seaward of the nest. Failure to comply with regulation will result in a civil penalty of $50 for each offense.
Do not set up for a wedding at the base of a PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS WALKWAY. If you block the public access walkway, the Police Department will ask you too dismantle and move to an appropriate location further away from the access.
Be sure to use our designated PUBLIC ACCESS WALKWAYS only; all other areas are private property.
NO LITTERING and remember glass containers are not allowed on the strand.
ABSOLUTELY NO FIREWORKS - N.C. State Law $500 fine. Sky Lanterns are also PROHIBITED!
NO PARKING ON SIDEWALKS. PARKING PERMITTED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. No parking overnight within the public access areas or parking lots. Do not block public or private accessways.
Getting Married?
The following information may assist you in your wedding plans:
Marriage License – Can be obtained from the Brunswick County Register of Deeds Office at the Government Complex in Bolivia.You may contact them at 910-253-2690.
Ceremony on the Beach - There are no permits required for this, however the Ocean Isle Police Department request that you notify them of the area that the ceremony will be taking place. This is for security reasons, so they are aware that a crowd will be gathering in that specific area. You may contact them at 910-579-4221. We do ask that you stay off of the dunes.
Ocean Isle Beach Chapel – The Chapel is owned by the Williamson Family. Regular church services are held there and the chapel can be rented for weddings. For information concerning the Chapel you may contact Ocean Isle Realty at 910-579-6222.
